These cookies have been @AnnaJoyPhotography ‘s favorite since before she can remember, and she has decided to share that recipe with us:
I used to make them with my grandma, she passed the recipe on to me, and now my girls and I make them all the time!
- 1 Cup butter, soften
- 3/4 Cup white sugar
- 3/4 Cup brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp Vanilla
- 2 1/4 Cups flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 12oz package (or 2 cups) chocolate chips
- Optional (but highly recommend!)
- 3/4 Cup of walnuts, chopped
- 3/4 Cup shredded, unsweetened coconut flakes
- 3/4 Cup rolled oats (oatmeal)
- Preheat over to 350°f
- Cream together the butter, white and brown sugar. Next, add the eggs and vanilla.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Combine dry ingredients together with the wet ingredients. After it is mixed well, fold in the chocolate chips, oats, walnuts and coconut.
- Scoop about a tablespoon size onto a greased (or parchment paper-lined) baking sheet about an inch apart.
- Bake at 350° for 9-11 minutes.
- Transfer to cooling rack. Best enjoyed warm with a glass of milk!
I hope you enjoy these cookies as much as my girls and I do!
